Handheld Optical Blood Analyzer
From April 2017 to August 2019 – Development of a custom Linux embedded software application using c/c++ that controls a portable battery operated medical device with a 6″ backlit touchscreen display. The device has a Qt GUI display with touch gesture support. The device’s electronics are enclosed in a custom designed hand-held enclosure, containing a low power multi-core NXP IMX-6 ARM SOM module attached to a custom PCB carrier board. This device is a thermally controlled reader with optical emitters and frequency sensitive photo-detectors that analyzes a patient sample blood droplet, typically in a lab or hospital setting.
